She’s temptation personified
Nathan’s always been more than just my dad’s friend. I never thought he'd see me as an adult, especially not after avoiding me for so long. But one hug, one moment feeling every inch of him against me, shatters that illusion. Consequences no longer matter—I’m eighteen, and I’m willing to risk everything for my shot with him.

He’s not going to resist anymore
I never should’ve seen Eve as more than my best friend’s daughter. As a cop, I know it’s wrong. It’s my job to protect her from guys like me. Chasing her could cost me my career—not to mention the only family I've ever known—but I can’t hold back another second. One taste, and I want her. To hell with the fallout.

5 hot as HALE stars!

(I couldn’t resist.)

London Hale is the pen name of writing duo Ellis Leigh and Brighton Walsh. It’s my first time reading either of them and now that I’ve had a taste, they’re going on my TBR again for sure–individually and as London.

Daddy’s Best Friend is the first book in the Temperance Falls series and it’s taboo romance at its best. Eighteen-year-old Eve has her eye on her dad’s best friend, Nathan. Both Eve and Nathan know how wrong their attraction is, but one day they can no longer resist each other.

Understandably, Nathan is extremely conflicted about pursuing Eve. Not only is he older than her, but he’s her dad’s best friend. On top of everything else, Nathan’s also a cop. A relationship with Eve would be wrong on so many levels…but so right at the same time.

Despite Eve’s age, I found her mature and didn’t get a little girl vibe from her at all, which I’m glad the authors avoided. In addition, I loved how the logistics of the reveal are handled. Eve’s dad reacts as expected, but there’s a great twist that sets things up nicely for the next book in the series.

This is a shorter read, but one that’s massively hot. If you’re looking for taboo romance done right, add London Hale to your TBR. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
