When hot as hell Danielle Lang showed up and asked me to teach her about sex, I thought I was hallucinating. Turns out the beautiful psychologist needed an extra bit of schooling in all things sexual so she could teach a class.

I’m always up for helping a friend. I mean, it’s the least I can do. What I wasn’t expecting is for her to turn the tables and teach me a few things. Only this short-term promise of two weeks in her bed is going by a little too quickly. Not that I’m thinking forever or anything.

I’ve got a football career to get back to. And she doesn’t want to be a part of my world. There’s no way we can be together—so I’m going to make sure I enjoy every sexy second….

Hands On is part one in the three-part Hands On serial by Cathryn Fox. It’s part of Entangled’s Scorched imprint, which features some pretty steamy stories with a side of kink.

Danielle is a psychologist, fresh out of grad school. When she finds out that she needs to teach a class on human sexuality, she doesn’t feel qualified. Danielle is a virgin–so while she has book knowledge, she decides that what she really needs is some hands-on training. Luckily, an old high school acquaintance is up to the task.

Jack and Danielle weren’t exactly friends in school, but they admired each other from afar. Jack is currently recovering from a football injury, so he’s more than willing to help Danielle out during his recovery time. Their agreement is temporary: Jack will school Danielle in all things sex so that she’ll be qualified to teach her class. After the two-week period is over, they’ll go their separate ways.

Since this is a serial, this first installment is pretty short, but it’s enough to grab the reader’s attention. However, because Jack and Danielle never dated and were barely friends, I found it hard to believe that he has low-key carried a torch for her all these years, especially since he’s the sexy jock who could hook up with anyone…but I suppose it’s possible.

Jack is a sweet but sexy character, a dirty talker who wants to make Danielle as comfortable as he can, so that she has a good first experience. As this first installment ends, Jack is slowly helping Danielle become more at ease with her sexuality, while keeping her enticed with promises of future pleasure. There’s no kink in the story yet, but Jack has hinted at some things, so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out later on in their relationship.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to reading the next installment.
