There’s nowhere he can’t find you. Nothing he won’t do to make you his. There is no pleasure he won’t give you, no fantasy he won’t make reality, no secret desire he won’t reveal.

He’s everything. He’s everywhere.

Will you go to him?

Step forward…

Turn the handle…

Step through into THE BLACK ROOM.

Warning: reader discretion is highly advised. This novel contains vivid depictions, fantasies, and relationships. Mature readers only, please.

The Black Room: Door Four by Jasinda Wilder is part of a serial and definitely should be read in order.

This door is super explicit and is basically one extended orgy filled with various types of kink, especially voyeurism and exhibitionism. The central plot revolves around a poker game with some…interesting stakes. If you’re looking purely for the smut, you’ll find it here in spades (pun not intended). But the story lacks the emotional impact of Door Three, my favorite in the collection so far.

As always, Jasinda Wilder excels at writing sex scenes, but in this door there’s a decided lack of intimacy in those scenes. So for me, something crucial was missing and this installment doesn’t add much to the overall mystery of what The Black Room is.

However, when the story takes a turn at the end, I was fascinated by where the plot is going now. If not for that intriguing ending, I’d have been tempted to rate this lower. As such, I simply must know what happens next, cliffhangers be damned.
