I received an advance copy of this book from Booksprout.

PLAYED BY THE MASTER
Jacqueline will do anything she can to save her brother-in-law. Race Danner is the only one with the power to help. In this game, Race holds all the cards.

Played by the Master is an exciting and humorous story of Domination and submission, where breaking the rules of the game is where the fun begins, when Jacqueline crashes a billionaire’s exclusive poker game in order to seduce him into granting a favor to save her sister, but instead finds herself Played by the Master.

Warning: This story has Domination, submission, bondage, punishment, and a lot of other fun things, plus explicit, wild sexual encounters.

THREE
Hot steamy dreams...a handsome stranger...and his two brothers...all add up to an exciting adventure she'll never forget.

Warning: This intriguing story is scorching hot, and not for the faint of heart.

THE OFFICE SLAVE
Her ultimate sexual fantasy brought to life...

Sylvia loves to read erotica, and after her latest read, she’s developed a sizzling fantasy about submitting to the sexual whims of four incredibly hot business partners. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she’d have the opportunity to live out her fantasy...until her friend decides to make it happen. Now she’s about to become an office slave…to four hunky men she’s never even met. But faced with the reality, can she actually go through with it?

Warning: Ditto!

Played by the Master

Desperate to help her sister and brother-in-law, Jacquie attempts to persuade billionaire Race Danner to aid them. This isn’t the type of story I typically read—I tend to stay away from billionaires—but I adore Opal Carew’s books. Played by the Master reads very much like a fantasy, which is how I reacted to it. There’s not much character development and I didn’t find it realistic at all—to me, there’s no way Jacquie would jump into BDSM with this guy she’s just met (altruistic reasons driving her or not). That being said, the story itself is quick, dirty, and enjoyable enough.

Three

This story left me feeling quite confused. It’s not what I thought it would be, which was a ménage story involving the main character (Lori) and three brothers. While it’s definitely a ménage, it involves a total of five people when Lori’s best friend (newlywed Marie) gets involved in the action. Say what? As with Played by the Master, this story definitely reads like a taboo fantasy, but the surprise orgy with the best friend seemed to show up out of left field. The ending was also rushed. I’m still confused about this one.

The Office Slave

This is an m/m/m/m/f (that’s right, four men) ménage story with brief m/m elements. It’s Sylvia’s ultimate fantasy to submit to four men, so her friend arranges the scenario. I’m not crazy about the “slave” fantasy, but in this story it’s what Sylvia wants more than anything, so really it’s all her idea and she’s in control of the situation. Also, out of the three stories in this collection, this is the only one that mentions testing and birth control, so points for that. This story is definitely a setup for future installments. Although it has hot moments, I didn’t connect with any of the characters enough to want to continue the series.
