Getting ready to start an ARC of Wilde in Love by Eloisa James (out 10/31). I also plan on starting Afterburn/Aftershock by Sylvia Day, in preparation for the Passionflix movie (out 11/3)!

Hold Tight by Alexa Riley
(Ebook, ARC from NetGalley)

DNFed at 27%. Normally the pace of Riley’s books is pretty fast—and I’m not just talking about insta-love. This one, however, just bored me.

Life or Something Like It

DC Trip
This past week I was in Washington, DC, for work training. Part of that training included a tour of the Library of Congress, which is absolutely beautiful. I had been to DC as a kid, but I barely remember anything about it, and I hadn’t been to the Library of Congress that time. I posted a bunch of pics and videos on my Instagram.

During this trip, I also took my first few rides with Lyft—so easy!—and met up with my good friend Laura, who recently moved to DC.

I didn’t get any reading done while I was away 😩 but I have a few reviews in the queue that I’ll be posting soon…read on for the details.

Book Buyer’s Best Contest
A few months back, I was asked to be a first round judge for the Orange County Chapter of RWA’s Book Buyer’s Best Contest. I was provided with three books that I read and scored. Since the contest winners have been announced, I’m able to post my reviews for the books that I helped to judge. Those books are Count on a Cowboy by Patricia Thayer, When I Found You by Kate James, and Angel Falls by Babette de Jongh.

It was fun being a judge since I didn’t know ahead of time which books I’d receive and they ended up being books that I probably wouldn’t have chosen for myself. Reviews will be posted here in the next several days.

Have a great week! 😘
