The Ripped Bodice had a signed pre-order sale going for The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare, but I totally spaced and missed it. 🙁 Luckily, Tessa Dare mentioned on Twitter that she signed extra copies, so I sent a message to The Ripped Bodice and asked if they had any available. They said yes, so I now have a signed copy! 🙂 Also, a few other Tessa Dare books found their way into my shopping cart (imagine that!), so I’m excited to add those to my never-ending TBR.

The Ripped Bodice Patreon
Speaking of The Ripped Bodice, they now have a Patreon and I’m proud to be one of their patrons! I’ve been a supporter of theirs since their Kickstarter to raise funds to open the store and I love continuing to see all the amazing things they’re doing.
The solar eclipse is behind us, THANK GOODNESS. We had customers who came to our library the morning of the eclipse to get glasses that we didn’t even have, and when my coworker told them this, a lady started CRYING. CRYING! A grown adult started crying. We survived the day, but needless to say, I’m just relieved it’s over. oh, and the eclipse itself was pretty cool. 😀
So I’m kind of admitting to myself that my TBR is reaching insane levels and I think a book-buying diet is in order. The problem is, I have little to no impulse control. I think I’m going to limit my print collection right now to whatever I check out from the library and my Romance Reveal subscription. I tend to go to Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million and make impulse purchases, so my first plan of attack is to stop doing that kind of shopping so often. Book diets never work for me, but there’s a first time for everything, yes? Never mind that I have a Book Outlet order on the way…which was placed before I declared the book diet. Sigh. Anyway, hopefully this will help me focus more on my ARCs and ebooks.
Before I resolved to go on the aforementioned book diet, I signed up for a Page Habit romance subscription…just to see what it’s like… *hangs head* I have a feeling I’ll probably cancel after I receive the first box, if for no other reason than I need to control myself for once. The first box is on the way, so stay tuned for more about that.
Passionflix Beta Testing
As a Passionflix founding member, I was offered the chance to beta test before the site officially launches on September 1st! I’m testing the iOS app and it looks great so far.
Yesterday, I went outside and it was the first day in months when I didn’t feel like I was melting from the heat. I think summer might finally be on its way out. Good riddance, I say. I love cooler weather and can’t wait for winter, honestly. It has become my favorite time of year.
Have a great week! 🙂
